August 2021

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
In the first of a series, we will be highlighting the exceptional work of state procurement staff across the country. Primary members who wish to nominate someone on their staff may use this form
Carmen Claudio, Florida
Carmen serves as the certification coordinator for the Office of Supplier Diversity. In the past year, especially during the peak of COVID, the office experienced a tremendous peak in certifications. From March 2020 to April 2021, Carmen nearly single-handedly certified over 1,500 businesses. That is a 35% increase, and a testament to Carmen and her skill. Additionally, she serves as a Spanish language translator for a number of work units, and most impressively, Carmen completes all of this work while delivering exceptional customer service with an incredible sense of humor.
