NASPO Honors Procurement Staff Pandemic Work

Lexington, KY – The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) honors the work done by state procurement staff in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

During the pandemic, the 2020 George R. Cronin Awards for Procurement Excellence Committee opted to forego individual awards and honor the work states were doing to meet the needs of the pandemic through a project called Procurement Pandemic Excellence (PPE). States were asked to provide a written or video submission to be used in a tribute at the 2020 NASPO Annual Conference, held September 15-16, 2020, in Lexington, KY.

The submissions reveal the reality of the challenges the central procurement office has faced during the pandemic and the resilience with which the procurement staff met those challenges. NASPO is honored to tell those stories.

You can view the tribute shared at the Annual Conference here. For additional information on the Procurement Pandemic Excellence (PPE) project, or to view the full written and video submissions, please visit the NASPO website.
